How to organise an event
Need some inspiration?
Berry Street fundraisers host all sorts of events. Here are just some ideas.
Movie night
Who doesn't love a good movie!? This is one of the easiest – and most fun – ways to raise funds. Many local cinemas have small theatres for private screenings, or you can book out a couple of rows and invite your friends, family and co-workers. Throw in some snacks or a drink, and you’ve got a great night out!
Trivia night
Trivia nights are one of the most popular ways to raise funds – who doesn’t love a challenge, surrounded by your mates!? Pubs and community halls might provide venues for free or low cost for charity fundraising. Add some snacks, a raffle or silent auction, and your fundraising is sorted!
Foodie delights
If you love to bake, love a night out, or just love good food, organise an event at a cafe, pub, your office or your school. You can run any food-related event, from a morning tea or bake sale to sausage sizzle or a lush three-course meal. Chat to your favourite cafe, restaurant or pub about group bookings.
Other event ideas
Run a raffle through your community group or workplace. Ask people to donate gold coin donations for a holiday program or a dress casual day. Organise a band night, comedy night, sip and paint event, or any other activity your friends and family will love... the options are endless! Whatever your idea, we’re here to help, so get in touch and register your event today!
