Christmas just got even more joyous… especially at the Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre. The Centre Management has joined forces with Berry Street to encourage shoppers to buy gifts for children who can’t live safely at home this Christmas. They’ve even set up a Berry Street Gift Tree in the heart of the shopping centre!

“We’re so proud to partner with Berry Street,” said Stuart King, Retail Manager. “We believe in giving back to children in our community and we’re excited to see how well our shoppers respond to the Berry Street Gift Tree!”

The gifts will go towards children living in foster care, kinship care or residential care this Christmas. Many of these young ones have never received a Christmas gift before, but thanks to generous donations from the Berry Street Gift Tree, shoppers will be able to give joy to young people who have experienced trauma, violence and abuse.

To check out the tree, visit Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre this December and head towards Gazman and Boost Juice. The tree is covered with little gift tags that shows the wide range of Christmas gifts that shoppers can buy for children. You can then take a tag off the tree, scan the QR code, and choose a gift to buy for a child in foster care. These are real gifts that children in care need.

“It’s a great feeling, knowing you’re spreading joy this Christmas,” said Stuart. “We encourage everyone to come down to Victoria Gardens and see what it’s all about!”
