2024 BSEM Relaunch: Sneak peek of what’s to come

Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) is turning 10 in 2024, and we are planning for an extra fabulous year to celebrate our decade of supporting Australian schools and beyond. Over the next 12 months you’ll see some exciting changes to our work and to our brand. Read on for a taste of what’s to come, and watch this space for more exciting announcements.

• our brand new BSEM Alumni Resource Hub will have improved functionality and refreshed content. Existing alumni will need to complete a once-off registration for the new BSEM Alumni Resource Hub as it is hosted on a new platform that will allow us to take our alumni support to new levels
• all new course books will incorporate advances in our research and practice. New editions will roll out over 2024 for schools. We’ll have special offers for purchases of the new book sets for our existing schools and BSEM alumni
• a refreshed look and design for BSEM on the Berry Street website will improve user experience with clear, intuitive information architecture and value-led content
• new BSEM Masterclasses will increase the ways you can learn with us. Our new masterclasses include trauma-informed strategies supporting Disability and Inclusion, Culturally Responsive Pedagogies, BSEM for Wellbeing Professionals, and Trauma-informed Instructional Practices
• self-paced online courses will launch in BSEM Early Years strategies, plus a series of modules designed to flexibly support whole school review of BSEM strategies, called ‘BSEM FUNdamentals’
• celebrations! We will be celebrating the work of schools around the country who have engaged with BSEM and enabled us to sustain our work for the last decade.

Our goal at BSEM is to give educators strategies, tools and materials that support them to deliver curriculum, putting the dual aims of learning and wellbeing at the forefront of all practice. The changes you’ll see over the coming months are in response to feedback we have gratefully received from BSEM alumni and are designed to reinforce the capacity for durable and quality implementation of BSEM strategies.
