Dr. Chandra Ghosh Ippen Chandra Ghosh Ippen is an award-winning children’s book author and child psychologist with over 30 years of experience conducting clinical work, research, and training in the area of early childhood trauma and diversity-informed practice. Overview

This webinar will explore the power of children’s books to open doors to healing conversations. Stories have the ability to enter our hearts, to help us feel deeply, to show us that we’re not alone, to help us find the words to talk about things we thought were unspeakable, and to find hope. They can serve as a healing catalyst by helping family members talk about difficult experiences, which left unspoken might negatively affect relationships and development.

Some key takeaways from this session include: identifying the ABC’s of a trauma-informed response; identifying common symptons of posttraumatic stress and defining the concept of trauma-related expectations.

Great presentation, very informative and engaging. I appreciated that the failures of society and systems particularly towards First Nations people was acknowledged and explored.
