Berry Street CEO, Michael Perusco, commends the Government for a Budget that has a targeted focus on providing kids and families with a strong future.

“Investing in vocational education and employment pathways, early years program and schools, and the record investment in mental health will bring opportunities to communities that need them most,” said Mr Perusco.

“The record investment in mental health and alcohol and drug services will also have a critical role in supporting vulnerable parents and families to care for their children,” said Mr Perusco.

Berry Street also welcomes the plan to invest to keeping kids engaged in education through the expansion of the Navigator program across the State. Berry Street has been delivering this program in the Goulburn area and eagerly await the benefits that will flow to children across the State.

Importantly, Berry Street is also very pleased that the Victorian Government has continued to fund the reforms of the Child and Family System in today’s State Budget. We look forward to working with the Government on these important initiatives.
